Abu Dhabi is the most populous city in the country of the United Arab Emirates, it is also the capital city. It is home to over 1.5 million people, making it over two-thirds of the country's economy. Abu Dhabi is one of the richest cities in the world. It ranks as the fourth most expensive city in the region, it also has a GDP per capita of over 61,000 dollars.
Abu Dhabi is located in the northeastern part of the Persian Gulf, in the Arabian Peninsula. The city is on an island that is less than two hundred fifty square kilometers. The city averages over one hundred degrees Fahrenheit over the summer months. My favorite place in Abu Dhabi was Palm Jumeriah Island. It is one of three man made, government owned island of the coast. The island production started in 2001 and was finished in 2006.
